We collect information you provide directly, including your display name, email address, handle, bio, and avatar when you create an account.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide, maintain, and improve the Redmoon platform. This includes displaying your profile to other users, facilitating communication through messages, and enabling community features like voting and discussions.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. User-uploaded media (avatars, posters) is stored in Supabase Storage with access controls.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your public profile information (display name, handle, bio, avatar) is visible to other authenticated Redmoon users. Private messages are only visible to conversation participants.

5. Your Rights

You can update or delete your profile information at any time through the Settings page. You can request full account deletion, which will remove your personal data from our systems.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We also store your theme and language preferences in local storage for a personalized experience.

7. Google and YouTube Data

If you choose to connect your YouTube account, Redmoon uses Google OAuth to request read-only access to your YouTube account through the YouTube Data API. Redmoon uses this access only to let you connect your YouTube channel, display your channel name and avatar, and browse or select your own YouTube videos inside Redmoon. Redmoon may store your YouTube channel ID, channel name, channel avatar, OAuth access token, OAuth refresh token, and connection date so the feature can work without asking you to reconnect every time. Redmoon does not sell Google user data, does not use Google user data for advertising, and does not share Google user data except as needed to provide the YouTube connection feature or comply with law. You can disconnect YouTube from the Settings page at any time, and you can request full account deletion to remove your connected YouTube data from Redmoon systems. Redmoon's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
